Review of Episode 3.

Sorry I got so behind again.

I may temporarily go to a M/W/F schedule for posting. I'm watching both Bates Motel and Hannibal, and if I want to review both while keeping a twice-weekly update, then I'm a) never going to catch up to current episodes, and b) won't be able to review anything else while both seasons are in progress. After one of the shows ends its season, I'll probably go back to a Tuesday/Friday posting schedule.

This is still assuming I can keep to ANY kind of schedule. So... HA.

I liked this episode a little more than the first one.

I was aiming for (and started doing) a Monday/Thursday schedule for posting, but I think Tuesday/Friday may be more doable for me. We go out on Sunday and Wednesday nights, and generally I'm not up early enough the following mornings to get a post posted.

So A&E has a new show called "Bates Motel," which is a contemporary prequel to Psycho. It's... okay so far.

I meant to post yesterday, but forgot. :P

This one is a bad, bad movie.

Kind of mixed feelings about this one...

Solid film, even if it wasn't incredibly revolutionary.

I actually thought this one was pretty good.

This is one of those silly campy bad horror movies. It's definitely not a good movie, but it's kind of fun to laugh at.

This wasn't a BAD movie, but it wasn't a GOOD movie either. Short review here.

It's just a seriously bad movie. No really. SO BAD.

I actually wrote two reviews for my horror movie blog today. I have a bunch written now... of course that means somewhere between diddly and squat if I never post anything. :P But still, it's been a while since I even poked at that, so it's a step in the right direction.

I know that one of the best things you can do with regards to any kind of blog (especially a topic-oriented one, as opposed to something personal like this journal) is to have a consistent and fairly frequent update schedule. I've been wanting to get on that. For a while I'd been aiming for a M/W/F schedule for the horror review blog, but that doesn't seem sustainable. For now, when I have 20-some reviews written, that's perfectly reasonable, but once the backlog is gone, I don't know that I could commit to three movies and reviews each week. At one time that was very possible, but maybe not now. Twice a week sounds more reasonable to me, that it'd be frequent enough that there's a reasonable amount of content, but not so much I can't keep up. I was considering Mondays and Thursdays as update days.

That does mean I should get on watching horror movies again. Not that that's a huge hardship. Seems like two a week should fit in somewhere!

Unrelated: I slept for almost twelve hours last night. It actually didn't throw my whole day off, though I still have been tired for much of the day. Considering I've been around at least two sick people in the last few days, I'm not questioning it if my body thinks I need some rest.

Also, one week before I start my internship!

We did actually get to go out and do things today! We visited Red Rocks park, the Morrison Cemetery, and the Mt. Vernon cemetery. It was really nice to enjoy the recent good weather and to go do something fun!

I posted pictures and more detail at my hiking blog! (Photo posting is a lot easier there.) But please do check it out!

When we got back into town, Alex noticed this on his car's display:

We joked that maybe we should go buy a lottery ticket, haha.

And then we went to a Cuban restaurant that we'd been wanting to try. We split one meal, and it was quite a lot of food (though mid-range in price... too expensive for us to eat often, but certainly not outrageous.) We got saffron rice with chicken, plus plantains, which is their special for Saturdays. I loved all of it, though Alex didn't care for the plantains... so I ate his. :P It was awesome!

And now we have to run out the door.
