Monday 6/26: The Butterfly Pavilion - Part 1 (not butterflies)

Last Monday we had to run an errand to meet an acquaintance. She's picking up some things for us at a model event in a few weeks, and we needed to get her the payment and our tickets. We decided to meet partway between both of our respective cities, since we aren't wildly close. We made it aaaaaall the way to the spot we were meeting... and Alex realized he'd left the tickets on the counter at home. Whoops.

The second plan on the day, visiting the Butterfly Pavilion, went much more smoothly!

First up is the non-butterfly insects/arachnids. The current theme is "survival", so lots about camouflage or protective coloration and things.


I was very happy I got the burnished purple color of this guy! Also, them jaws!
