Who doesn't love gathering information just in case one of our employees has to file an assault claim against a customer?
(Me. I don't.)
The event in question happened yesterday while I was training, so I didn't know about it until my coworker came back inside. But a kid failed a test, and her dad got up into my coworker's space and backed him against the building, shoving into him with his chest, yelling at him, screaming profanity, demanding he change the result of the test...
So today we started asking for corroborating statements from a couple other customers who witnessed part of the altercation.
My coworker is NOT pressing charges, he decided.
One of the ex-co-owners contacted the family and informed them that we will NOT be working with the student again. The unused portions of the package they'd purchased were refunded, and they are not welcome back.
Toward the end of the afternoon, we recognized the mom's number on caller ID. Shortly after, the dad. My manager and I both refused to answer.
Like... what makes a person think that's acceptable? I just genuinely can't imagine ever feeling like that's an okay way to behave toward someone. Ugh.

I get that *the world these days* sucks and everyone is stressed and frustrated. But why the fuck do people think that that's an acceptable way to behave?
Extra cherry on top: kid is enrolled in private Christian school, lmao. Not a shock to me that that's the behavior, but everyone else seemed to think it was ironic, lol.

Well, you just said the magic word: Christian.

But right? Doesn't that just make it all fall into place? Everyone else seemed to think that was just wildly ironic, where I was just thinking "oh yeah, checks out".

"This white male..."
Oh. Right. Of course.
"This Christian..."
Well, there you go.
"This Republican..."
Yep. Nazis every one of them.
