Tuesday 6/27: Denver Botanic Gardens - Part 2
Continuing with the semi-chronological trip through the gardens...

This extremely fancy gold koi in one of the ponds. There were lots of lovely koi, but this one had such amazingly fancy fins.

Yellow water lily. I love the reflection!

Pink water lily.

A lovely peony! We were pretty surprised but glad to find any still blooming!
We went to the garden's restaurant for lunch. They were out of the thing we hoped to order, but our second choice was good, too!

There were also awkward "teenage" ducks wandering around. They're about halfway into adult plumage, though their back halves were still fluffier. But more importantly, they still *peeped* rather than quacking, and it was too cute.

TADPOLES! :D

Nice colors in the cactus house.

In the rock gardens outside the cactus house...
After this is a short walk through mostly-native mountain trees and bushes, and then it lets out on a walkway down to a small waterway.

Very vibrant blue damselfly.

Fiiiiish. :O :O

The super fancy fish!
After the waterway is the prairie garden.

Some beautiful larkspur and blooming prickly pear.
