I saw an interesting bit of meta on tumblr about Gabriel not being able to remember being an angel. In season 1, it's like they are meeting for the first time. In season 2, they clearly have an earlier meeting with Crowley as an angel. It's possible that Crowley doesn't remember, or doesn't properly remember back them, but Az remembers what he was like. I don't know if that's the case, but it's an interesting idea and actually make a couple things click for me about Az.

Neil's been talking like S2 is a bridge to get to S3, which is the plotline that he worked out with Terry. So, yeah, really hope we get the rest.
