Habit Tracking: Week 34 (August 18 - August 24)

This particular sticker - the artistic body horror shark - has always reminded me of The Southern Reach trilogy (soon to be quadrilogy.) This week I'd hoped to go get the 10th anniversary editions of the trilogy, so it seemed like a good week for it. I was able to get books two and three, though book one was sold out and on backorder.

This week was mostly pretty good. I feel like I got a lot done, and my days off were nice. We went to an indie bookstore, where I was able to get two of the three books I'd wanted, placed the third on order, wound up with an extra book I also wanted, plus bought Alex a book and some incense. We also went and got ice cream. The next day we went to see Alien: Romulus which I'd been looking forward to, and that was also good. Work felt pretty... whatever... all week. One kind of shitty day of everyone sniping at each other, but the rest was pretty neutral. I did get at least some forward momentum on my writing stuff, and if it's not as much as hoped, it's still more than I've gotten in a while.

Goals for the week:

• Still haven't set up that phone, though
• We did continue prepping for the model show
• I did do a few more outlines/thought dumps on original fics
• We visited Boulder Bookstore
• I read more of Aftermarket Afterlife
• I voted in the OTW board election
• We went to see Alien: Romulus
• I visited my mom, and she gave us peaches :D
• I bought crickets
• We forgot to fill out the apartment forms
• I did ask my mom to dog sit for the model show
• I got my next tracking notebook set up

This also marks the end of my current tracking notebook. I started it in January of 2023, but knew it wouldn't be long enough to make it through the end of this year. I'll still be using it for the ongoing reading page I have set up, though. (And if I end up wanting the monthly calendar pages, though I haven't really used them so far.)
