Greeley Kennel Club FastCAT: Part 2!

The whole dog show up in Greeley, where Bella ran a FastCAT on Thursday, ran from Thursday through the weekend.

Since she'd had a chance to rest for a couple of days, Alex decided to take her back today.


She did it!



Her first time was really good. Her second one wasn't great, but Alex said she was slowing down at the end of it. It was a hot day again, so not terribly surprising. He said they had some kiddie pools set up on the "go" line for the dogs to cool off in, but even so.

She was certainly completely full of energy again by the time I got home from work, lol.

Congrats to Bella! But honestly, if it was that hot, I'm not surprised she'd slow down. I can't function with the heat we've got in Texas right now and will probably be stuck with it through September because Texas is Surt's Asshole now as far as the climate crisis goes. But good for her! That's good that she's enjoying that and doing well!

Yes! Luckily these events basically always give the ribbons out immediately, because that's where you record your times. But glad we didn't have to wait, for sure.

Yes, she did very well!

I'm not surprised with the heat, either. I think it was hotter the first day she ran, but a lot more humid on this second one.

We're getting a cool down here for the next week or so at least. I'm both looking forward to it, and a bit sad, because I am really not ready for it to be cold-cold.
