Two days of being in stupid locations down. With the added benefit that the disruption to my usual schedule makes it *feel* like these two days should have been Saturday/Sunday, so it feels like tomorrow is Monday. I hope that makes my last two days this week go fast.

Today was also a really a nice day (mid-70s) outside, and it sucked to spend it inside. :( The weather forecast for the next several days has been really variable. Some stuff is saying upper 50s and rainy, other stuff is saying 40s and snow. I'm really hoping it's the former, but I also just want fucking warm weather already! Trees are starting to get buds and grass is starting to get green, and there are a few flowers in people's gardens, and I will scream if it all gets buried under snow again.

There are pelicans on the reservoir nearby! There are between 10 and 15 of them currently. I think they stick together in colonies around nesting season, then they split up later in the summer, and hang around in pairs or small groups. Alex and I have a running joke about how terrifying they are (because they have like a 9 foot wingspan; they're basically pterodactyls and they ARE terrifying), so we see them and yell about it, and how they're a sign of the apocalypse and such. But they're also always cool to see.

Taylor informs me that the gay ducks are back at my mom's house, so that's one more sign of spring. (There's a pair of male ducks that show up around the same time every spring, and stay through the summer on the little irrigation stream by her house.)
