Habit Tracking: Week 18 (May 02 - May 08)

This week's sticker is a snake, because we saw some cool snakes at the zoo. still mad I didn't get a sticker for having gotten my covid shot.

I did pretty well on my additional goals for the week.
- I got my second Covid shot!
- I started Fugitive Telemetry and am enjoying it very much
- I finally started writing up my post about River of Teeth! I got over 1000 words on it, but it isn't done yet.
- I wrote over 6000 words on All Strange Wonders
Fewer additional goals than usual, in part because I knew I might (and then did) get knocked out by my shot. Still glad about it!

For my tracked habits:
- Work - 3/7, an easy week, since I took off two days for my shot
- Household Maintenance - 4/7, though three were fairly minimal
- Physical Activity - 3/7, though only one was very significant
- Wrote 500/1000+ Words - 7/7, with 6/7 over 1000 words! I'm glad I've kept the momentum up so far!
- Meta Work - 7/7
- Personal Writing - 7/7
- Other Creative Things - 0/7
- Reading - 7/7, a mix between Fugitive Telemetry and misc fic and short stories
- Video Games - 0/7
- Social Interaction - 6/7, though one of those was fairly minimal

This week was a bit up and down. I spent a day and a half very knocked down by side effects, but having the extra days off was very nice, and made my real weekend feel like more of a break. Going to the zoo was also a lot of fun. The end of the week was a bit of a struggle, and Saturday I had a hard time focusing on things. I've still been pretty tired, so I haven't been getting as much done as I wish I was.

Total words of fiction written: 6529 words on All Strange Wonders. (+ over 1000 words of a review on River of Teeth, which isn't really fiction writing, but is still writing.)

Ooh, what are your thoughts on Fugitive Telemetry? I finished it for the third time yesterday :)

I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a "Murderbot's humans go on an adventure with ART's humans," story, but I think I should have expected that. She's probably going to save something like that for another full length novel, and it makes more sense for MB to get itself an actual job and legal status first.
It's nice to see MB starting to redefine what being a SecUnit means, from being a terrifying murderbot to being an intelligent person whose job involves protecting its clients with minimum loss of life. That's a step in the right direction for it :)
