Denver Botanic Gardens: Part 2

Part two of the pictures from the Botanic Gardens yesterday!

From inside one of the little gazebo sitting areas... the gardens logo.

And a very pretty waterfall in the alpine rock garden.

It did start to rain, though not hard. There were a couple rolls of thunder, but the storm pretty much passed by.

The raindrops made interesting ripples on the water.

Crime Bunny had no remorse, eating things in the vegetable garden.

And Crime Bunny Jr. was following the family legacy of crime, eating the marigolds.

Succulents in an oyster shell planter.

Butterfly!

Pitcher plants. :) I love carnivorous plants. At some point, I hope to get a few.

An Art. This is "Chromaphasia (Rhythm of Colors)" by Marc Fornes, and it is impossible to get in a single picture. The aluminum sections wrap around and up the wall and ceiling of the stairwell up to the conservatory.

The indoor conservatory is really cool, and I always love it. (Even though it's extremely hot and humid, lol.) It's very much a tropical rainforest.

There is very little that conveys just how astoundingly BIG most of the plants in there are, and that's something I find mind-boggling when I think about the actual for real jungle, without convenient pathways built in.
But for scale, that IS an ordinary person-sized bench in the lower left.

There is one little display with a couple dart frogs. :)

Another Art. This is "Albedo" by Osman Akan, and it's in/next to the parking garage. The squares do all color shift in really cool ways depending on where you're standing.

Now to clean Broccoli Cheddar Bomb's habitat, because I didn't get to it yesterday, and he'd probably like a water change. And then to scramble to get my 645 words for the day, RIP.
