Greenbelt Nature Walk
On Taylor's birthday, after gifts, they wanted to go on a walk along a nearby greenbelt. It's a very pleasant place to walk, and it was also a lovely, clear day, so it was definitely a great time to do so!

The creek. Very peaceful, with a nice cool breeze over it.

We saw a bullfrog!
(Taylor was even wearing their "DILF: Damn, I Love Frogs" shirt, since it was a birthday gift, ha.)

Another picture of the creek.

And another picture of the frog.

Some mystery berries against the bright blue sky.

A few hints of fall color starting.

Fallen log with some dried mushrooms clinging to it.

One of the swampier areas, and some lovely cottonwoods in the background. There are some ducks resting on the branch in the front. Over in the lower right corner, there's a chunk of wood that looks just like a duck with its butt in the air, diving for food, ha.

It was definitely the clearest day we'd had in a while. It's the first time in a bit I've been able to really see the mountains clearly! (Or at all, some days, ha.)

My yard as a kid (a house we moved out of after my parents split, partway through HS for me) was only a half-acre... but it had a lot of trees and gardens gone just a bit wild and outbuildings that made for wonderful playscapes. <3
