Day 19 of NaNo

My cough is worse again, and I don't like it. Also hint of hint of infection taste this morning (though fortunately (?) I think that may be the start of a sinus infection, rather than anything from lower in my chest.)

It's not quite bad enough (and I otherwise feel okay) so I don't think it's worth another teladoc visit or anything, but boy am I tired of this crud.

Worked with the new manager today. I think he'll be fine. He's out of town until next Friday, visiting his wife's family in New Hampshire for Thanksgiving, so the center will be the wild west for a week, lol.

NaNo Day 19: 1744 words. [End of the sex scene + the start of an emotional conversation.]

Weirdly this is exactly the same number of words as yesterday, which was not intended. It also brings my total for the month up to the very pattern-y 34343, which was also unintentional.

I bailed in the middle of one of the scenes I tried to write today because it was boring and I hated it. I try to write things chronologically, but I really didn't like how it was going, so I moved onto another one.

Definitely at the point in the month where the writing takes forever, and leaves me ready to fall into bed. Catching up will have to happen in a bit!

Ugh. Coughs suck! I hope you feel better soon! Unfortunately, not getting enough rest because of work is probably the culprit of your cough and malaise sticking around.

I think you're probably right. But I burned through almost all my PTO, so not a ton of options. :( I'm hoping the extra day off for Thanksgiving helps. The day after should be a mellow one at work, too. But to be honest, I'm expecting it'll keep dragging out at this rate, and I hate that I can't take more time.

I hope you can get some good rest during whatever days you've got off for Thanksgiving. You really need it. People can't get caught up on getting better when they really can't take enough time off for it. This country blows goats.

Thank you! I just have today (Thanksgiving itself) off. I worked yesterday, and will be back tomorrow. But at least tomorrow should be pretty quiet, probably. And today we'll be spending most of the day cooking, but that's more relaxing than being at work!

This country does blow goats. I DO feel better today, or at least did overnight, so fingers crossed it stays that way this time!

The 'taste' of a sinus infection (or any post nasal drip) is so awful! The continuing cough might indicate a sinus infection as you've mentioned. Don't let that go on too long. (My one experience with a sinus infection that I didn't know I had was not fun.) That said, I hope you're feeling better today/soon!

Ugh, so gross! The infection "flavor" goes away as the day goes on, but as soon as I lay down it's back.

I do think it's probably turning to a sinus infection, so definitely have to keep an eye on it. I don't want to do another round of antibiotics if I don't need to, but yeah, an untreated sinus infection can get REAL bad.
