Day 30 of NaNo - FINALLY, IT'S OVER!
Hooray!
Day 30 of NaNo: 1724 words [More sexy time for the trio, a scene I'd previously skipped.] What a way to end, lmao.
But brings me to a total of 50,878 words for the month!
I only missed out on one badge for the event - the one for hitting daily word goal, since I had those two days where I did *not* hit 1667. Alas.
The story itself isn't complete (I have yet to have a NaNo project end nicely at 50k.) I'm theoretically about 80% of the way through, but when I did the draft zero stuff, the end bits were the parts I was excited to write about... but also seemed like they could easily be more than another 10k. Maybe closer to 20k remaining?
Not sure when I'll write that! I'm absolutely looking forward to NOT trying to get 1667 words per day for a while... though I'm not sure yet if I'm truly going to take time off from writing. Previous years when I've done that to give myself a break, it turns into writing nothing at all for a month or two. I think I'll try to stick with a gentler 500ish words per day, or just "what I feel like, as long as it's not nothing" lol.
But now it's time to figure out what I want to work on! Keep working on Lunacy (the NaNo project)? Get right back into the Vampire AU or the pseudo fake-dating-to-fake-engagement-to-lovers royal intrigue AU that I'm in the middle of? I'll have to get back into the groove on either of those, since I haven't really thought about any writing things except for NaNo.
That's all a problem for tomorrow and beyond.

Today the dog got a bath. He's so soft! And not greasy! And shedding less! And smells nice!

Hard to believe tomorrow is December. Supposed to be 70° again here tomorrow.
Gotta check in and find out if I have any more days of PTO that I have to use by the end of the year. I used almost all of it when I was so sick (oh, and as the cough still hasn't gone away, though is still greatly reduced, I have now been sick for a month!), but I do want to make sure I don't have any "use 'em or lose 'em" days. Last year I was able to take a bunch of three-day weekends, and I wouldn't turn down one or two of those this month, haha.

I think giving yourself a break by slowing down, rather than not writing at all, sounds like a good idea.
I hope you're having a lovely day today! It's currently 37 here. :(

Yeah, I think I'll take a day or two to figure out what to work on next and get back into the right mentality for whatever I pick, and then go to a more sane wordcount goal, haha.
It was really warm here! I wish I didn't have to be at work while the weather is so nice. But 37, boo. Too chilly! :(

Oh I hope you have some PTO left so that you can take some three day weekends! That would be awesome!
Kathy and I always used to get coughs that would linger and linger, and they were just horrible.

Alas, I only have a couple days left, and I can roll them over to next year, so I should probably save them in case I get sick or something again and need them. :( I would have had so much extra time if I hadn't gotten sick! ;-;
The lingering cough is really annoying. I know I've had them linger for a long time before. I'm just glad it isn't terrible anymore.
