And then the weather was bad. :(
The forecast went from "a trace to two inches, starting around 5:00" to "starting by 1:00, not likely to exceed six inches."
The drive home from work, usually about twenty minutes, took close to forty. And that was after Alex was about a half hour late picking me up because the drive to come get me was even worse than trying to get home again.
This is about always when I hit this point, but I fucking hate winter and I would be glad to never see another goddamn snowflake in my life. Probably an exaggeration, tbh, but a genuine feeling at the moment, ha.

The last three days have been absolutely miserable in terms of my brain and distractability. I've had the worst time focusing, and I get sidetracked super easily. It's been really frustrating.

Otherwise, I hope your brain calms and you're able to cultivate quiet, focus, and concentration soon. In the meantime, I hope you're able to get some rest in and recharge a bit.

I appreciate it. Brain-wrangling is just never my favorite thing to have to spend my energy on. Trying to get some calm and focus, for sure.

Ugh, brain-wrangling in general can be beyond exhausting and draining and I'm just sorry things have been in the "squirrel on meth" mode of scattered thoughts and lack of focus. With how things have been going at work, are you at all able to indulge in some legit self-care and self-kindness?

Brain wrangling is the worst. I hate the feeling of trying to fight my own brain, armed only with... my brain. Today is at least my Friday, so I have a couple days to recover before I'm back at it!
