More misc updates:
Alex now has his shiny new Colorado drivers license. It took some additional frustration, but not as much as I'd feared, since his old license had expired by the time we got the amended birth certificate. But there was enough of a grace period that it didn't wind up being any worse, luckily.
Saw a couple movies last week: Us, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I really enjoyed both, though they're obviously pretty different movies, haha. Adding Us to the list for if I ever actually start reviewing the horror movies I watch again.
It's been absolute hell for the last few weeks at work. The busy time for both the driving instruction and the test prep sides of the business synced up for spring break and the last couple weeks before the official SAT test for the state, so it's just been outrageously busy.
I've been pretty... dissatisfied... with a lot of stuff lately. I've had very little drive to work on things, and have made little progress on my personal projects. I haven't written near what I've wanted to - I have multiple WIPs, plus I want to get back to doing reviews, plus I haven't even been doing personal entries here... and yet I get home and just about always want to just head straight to bed. And I haven't even felt like I'm on my A-game for work either. It's probably just a depressive episode, but it's frustrating to want to be better and just... not being able to.
Did a little better today at least, and will continue trying to.
Had a mini crisis at realizing that we're a third of the way through the year. It doesn't feel like January was near that long ago.

I want to see Us. I'll have to wait till I can download it because Kass isn't into horror movies at all. As it is, when the second part of It comes out this year, she and Linda will have to find a movie they can go to together so Joe and I can see It. That's what we did last year (or whenever the first part came out). Kass and Linda went to see The Hitman's Bodyguard (which is hilarious fun), and Joe and I went to see It. It worked out great that way.
It's April 1st. I can't believe that it's almost my birthday. >_

Us was really good. The twist was one that I suspected very early on, but in my experience it didn't negatively impact what I thought of the film. Since the comparisons are inevitable, I would say I liked Get Out better, but I really enjoyed Us, and I thought the acting and writing were fantastic.
What has even HAPPENED to this year? I couldn't believe it was March, and now it's April, and I don't know what to even do!

Every year goes by faster than the last.
