Misc., but mostly writing:
Better day than any of my Saturdays have been recently. I didn't end up having to stay late or anything! Probably means there'll be complaints that I didn't do extra, but... ugh.

Soooo, writing post?
This second draft of Connections of the Heart has been going so much easier than the first draft did, it's almost like whiplash. I'm not really changing ALL that much, I guess, though I think this draft is improved. (Hope so, anyway! That's the goal!) Doing a full rewrite rather than editing in the original draft directly makes it easier to add things or take things out or rephrase something, and it's mostly those kinds of things that I've been doing.
Though I think I'll be able to finish the second draft of chapter 5 tonight, which puts me three days ahead of "schedule". Should have no problem posting chapter 4 on Tuesday.
Chapter 3 went up this past Tuesday. My stuff gets very few hits, so it probably seems silly to be happy about *two whole comments*, but... I got two whole comments on this chapter, and that made me quite happy. (Also, both mentioned the characters' pining, which I was also happy to hear. While I was trying to go for mutual pining, that was one of the things I was struggling with, and I thought it had fallen short. So the fact that both people mentioned it makes me think it came through better than I thought it had!)
I joined Camp NaNo for April. (There are two "Camp" sessions, one in April and one in July, for NaNoWriMo. They're lower-pressure than the official 50k word November challenge, allowing you to set your own wordcount goal for the month, as well as whether you hope to write or to edit.)
Especially with how well Connections of the Heart is currently going, I should be done with it by the end of the month, and posting the final chapter at the start of April.
My intent at the moment is to write Island Territory as my Camp project. I don't know for sure how long it will be... I declared 15000 words as my goal. That's 500 per day, which is in the doable range, and will also keep me on track for my Get Your Words Out goal for the year. Since I don't hope this fic will be terribly long (ha), that may be enough for me to get the entire rough draft done, and start on the second.
IF it does work out that way, that'll also put me pretty strongly ahead of my tentative April/May schedule. We'll see! I wouldn't be sad if I had it completed sooner than anticipated, but for now I'm leaving my calendar alone.

We are going to maybe get some truly atrocious weather this Monday. Like this last storm, there's a lot of uncertainty in the forecast. The storm could shift to the south, which means it would functionally miss us, or leave us with fairly little accumulation. It could shift north and then wind up a record-breaker in terms of snow.
I'm hoping for the former. But regardless, I'm going to be glad that it's hitting on my "weekend." Not because I want to spend my weekend snowed in, because I don't, but at least I don't have to deal with work, lol.

I slept very badly last night. Hard time falling asleep, worse time staying asleep. Alex snored, and that woke me up. Cy would shift or kick and that would wake me up. The TV was on, and every commercial that came on seemed to wake me up. Ugh.
Typically, the second day after a bad night's sleep is when it really hits me, so I expect tomorrow might be rough. And I have to be there early, because the teacher for the day is brand new, so my manager asked me to go in a half-hour early to make sure she can get set up. Happy to do it, but... also I'd rather get every scrap of sleep I can, lol.
