It fucken wimdy
One of the bits of tumblr brainrot that has invaded my daily life and lexicon.
But to be fair, it is, in fact, fucken wimdy.
Worse yesterday than today, and probably slightly less bad tomorrow.
The record yesterday was up in Fraser, CO with a 116mph gust! Too much!
Last night, the power went out a couple times, though it always came back on within a minute or so. Tonight hasn't included more power flickering, so at least that bit has probably passed. And while there are still some gusts, at least the windows aren't shifting disconcertingly.

I am tired as hell, so I think tonight is going to be an attempt to plow through my 500 words/day (early - usually I've been finishing it sometime after 11:30) and either take a bath or just go to bed early.

Hope you're safe and that you get some rest. :)

Thank you! I did get at least some better rest last night.
116mph gust!!
Do you have some strategic candles and flashlights around the house? I do but I have a weird curse now that every flashlight I pick up inside my house - regardless if the batteries were changed last year or last week - will flicker in a horror movie fashion, responding to shakes and thumps a few times.
What's more, the UV light are the same shape, size and even look the same as the other flashlights so if it goes dark, I can snatch up a light and have a 55% chance of suddenly plunging into crime scene mode, noticing someone's piddled in a corner.
Again.
I'm amazed you get through even 100 words a day. I find writing so tough sometimes. I try to focus it like "Today is just this script's moment." but I never stick to it.
I'm like George RR Martin talking to you as Stephen King How the fuck do you write so many books so fast?!
Re: 116mph gust!!
We have some flashlights... and ALL of them need new batteries. Somehow. Do we ever remember damn batteries? No. We do have some candles, though! It kind of seems like flashlights are just made for that kind of horror movie effect, though. I'm not sure I've ever had a flashlight that didn't succumb.
(Kinda love the UV flashlight as a random chance for you, though.)
Writing consistently has been a struggle for me. Even now when I've been doing pretty good, breaking the habit for even a single night can completely derail me. I went through months where I wasn't able to write much, and other stretches where 10-20 words per day was an accomplishment. I'm a fan of "any progress is good progress", even if it's not as much as I want it to be.
Youtube tells me the video is private, but would that any of us could be as consistently prolific as Stephen King, lmao

The sniffly allergy stuff has already started, even though the pollen isn't even close to full-force yet.

Oh, our poor truck has so much grime on it from the backsplash during all the snow. We've had so many storms it doesn't feel worth giving it a bath. But we probably should.
