Night one of hanging out:
- read "Nine Lives", a short story but Ursula K Le Guin
- played two more successful escapes in Hades - FINALLY maxed Than's route; boy is NOT a cheap date. Slightly advanced the Achilles/Patroclus thread and maybe a bit of the Orpheus/Euridice one
- read "The Star of New Mexico", the last of the Jonathan & Francis Incryptid short stories. Another kinda bummer!
- got the Alice & Thomas short stories in order to start next. Including the one that's novel-length.
I DID manage my 500 words (by hand in a notebook at work)! Only one more challenging day!
For tomorrow: probably reading more, I think we're going to start playing Neir, and maybe we can finish season 2 of The Umbrella Academy.

Congratulations! Notebooks sure do come in handy!
The Umbrella Academy?
I don't think we can be friends anymore XD
What do you think of it thus far?
I hated it, but my sister loves it.

Haha, The Umbrella Academy is one of my favorites, lol.
Not everything works for everybody though.

Yay for writing at work! Did you count the words by hand or do you just estimate each page? Nowadays I avoid writing fiction by hand because I've come to hate typing it up afterwards.

Than is not a cheap date! Like damn. Compared to Meg, it felt like his "social link" took FOREVER. I do really like him, though. (Though it does take a while for him to show up, as I recall.)
I counted them by hand, tallying them up after each paragraph. I can for the most part estimate - I get just about 250 words per page in this notebook - but since I was using it for NaNo I wanted to make sure my count was accurate.
Fortunately, I don't mind typing it up after. I typically rewrite/retype my drafts anyway, so it doesn't annoy me too much. Despite being a much faster typist than hand writer, I sometimes make progress faster by hand, just because I don't spend much if any time going back to delete or rephrase a sentence. But I'm still bad at taking my own advice, and I rarely actually write things out by hand, even though when I do, I'm usually happy with the experience, ha.
