Habit Tracking: Week 20 (May 15 - May 21)
It turned out I wasn't wildly fond of the "desert travel" sticker pack I bought - I was simply lured in by a few stickers and sheets I did really like! But this week I used some of those. The phases of the moon one, which felt appropriate for the lunar eclipse. The "stargazer" one for the same reason. "The road less traveled" is a bit silly, but we *did* cross state lines this week, haha. (On a pretty well-traveled road, though.) Also, a very silly little pen doodle of the eclipse.
A bit later in the week, a bit of cute washi tape that helped wrap some pins I bought from
Oh, this week. My wrap-up thought in the habit tracking journal was "*drawn out scream*" and that sums it up fairly well. The weekend was nice, but feels extremely distant. Despite being a short week (having taken Saturday off), the work week felt very long. It was also stressful, and involved dealing with a lot of drama both in the background and the foreground. I hit all my goals for the week, though.
Goals for the week:
- We did watch the eclipse on Sunday
- I read more of, and finished The Hanged Man - much as Taylor had told me, this second book of the series improved drastically on the first. The first book was fine, but the second was REALLY good
- Alex and I did go to the model show in Wyoming on Saturday. It was nice to see people, but it was also a stressful day, and involved a lot of frustrating third place ribbons (when only 1st and 2nd count for anything.)
- I finished draft 2 of chapter 2 of Island Territory
- I did go pick up the stuff we'd left at my mom's house - some dog treats, some leftovers
- I had that sucky early shift on Wednesday
- I had my not-actually-shady training on Thursday
Tracked habits:
- Work - 4/7, taking Saturday off
- Household Maintenance - 1/7, grocery shopping
- Physical Activity - 4/7, with Saturday being a lot of walking and carrying and OW I STILL HURT
- Wrote 500/1000+ Words - 0/7
- Wrote on 2nd+ Draft - 4/7, three days over 1000 words, one of over 500
- Meta Work - 4/7
- Personal Writing - 7/7
- Other Creative Things - 2/7
- Reading - 6/7, mostly on The Hanged Man, but also some brain candy fic rereads
- Attention to Media - 2/7 - on Sunday we watched The Deep House which was a pretty decent horror movie. Creepy haunted house/abandoned place exploration with the additional claustrophobia of being underwater. On Tuesday we went to see Firestarter, which I liked despite most other people not seeming to, ha.
- Video Games - 0/7
- Social Interaction - 7/7

Btw do you use felt tip pens for these trackers? I initially thought they were ballpoint pens, but the lines don't match. (I have a bunch of felt tip pens that I bought because I liked their colors, then I proceeded to use them only sparingly. Maybe I ought to use them in my own habit trackers lol.)
Hope your coming weeks will be better. :)

I've got two types of pen I'm using, both more on the "office supply" side than the art supply side. Both kinds are "liquid gel ink". The darker colors are Pentel EnerGel pens, and the brighter colors are Pilot B2P (a line that's made of recycled bottles, but the same ink as their G2 pens.) I like both - the ink is very smooth, but doesn't bleed as much as felt-tips sometimes can. My old trackers from last year were ballpoint pen.
Getting to have fun colors is motivating to me when it comes to doing my tracker each day, haha. I'll probably buy more colors eventually, so I can do a better job of matching my stickers, lol.
I'd say go for it with the felt-tips!
Thank you! :)
