Day 3 of Covid
The fatigue is no damn joke. I slept pretty late. Went on a very brief walk with Cy, just to get outside for a few minutes. Came back in and was *exhausted*. I promptly slept for several more hours.
Alex still tested negative as of today. It would be kind of a minor miracle for him to not catch it, when we have to be in such close proximity.
My sense of taste may already be returning! That's... a pretty big relief, because having things taste like nothing at all was very strange, and I know that can be one of the symptoms that lingers for some people. So fingers crossed! I still can't smell much of anything, but things at least faintly have flavor.
You know all the jokes about La Croix water? "Tastes like hint of hint of lime." "A strawberry, but low battery." "A verbal description of a kiwi." "A banana in the next room." Etc. That's kind of the experience right now - I ate soup and it tasted like soup on mute. But it did taste!
[And yes, can insert jokes about haha, I have terrible taste, lol.]
The cough and congestion are about the same. I'm actually less congested when I sleep, which is weird and counter to the norm. But I'm pretty tired of blowing my nose, and the cough hurts and brings crud up with it, but isn't terribly frequent.
The sinus headache is miserable and doesn't quite want to go away.
Today was my mom's birthday, and the day I was supposed to go over to hang out. :(
I'd hoped that at the very least, the quarantine period would be a chance to read and maybe get ahead on writing. Hahaha. As if my brain can do a focus. Alas. Probably going to head back to bed.

Yeah, I anticipate the fatigue may be the thing that lingers. That sounds like it's been the experience of many of the people I know who've had it and recovered. I hope your friend makes a completely full recovery soon!
