Day 6 of Covid: feeling a bit better today. Still coughing, and still super fatigued. Spent a whole twenty minutes outside and slept for three hours about it.
Today was my last "required" day of quarantine, but I do have one more day of PTO allowed, so I'm going to take it. I'll take a test tomorrow, too. If I'm still testing positive, not sure what I'll do... the company policy is just to follow the CDC recommendation, which allows you to return regardless of test result, as long as "symptoms are improving" and you've been fever-free for 24 hours. I've actually not had a fever at all. So even if I'm still testing positive, I'm supposed to return. :/ I'm hoping taking the one extra day will improve my chances of no longer being contagious.

Have you checked with your doctor? The doctor I talked to when I got my positive test told me that the guidelines were to stay home for five days if I had no symptoms, or ten days if I had any, even if they went away completely.

Unfortunately I don't have a regular doctor I can visit, and my workplace's policy is to follow the CDC recommendations here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html

Even for a symptomatic positive, they only recommend 10 days in cases of severe illness or if you're immunocompromised. :/ Otherwise, it's 5 days, 24 hours of no fever, "improving" symptoms, and an additional 5 days of wearing a mask (which I will definitely be doing.) I feel like that's gotten far too short, but those are the guidelines, apparently.
Capitalism is more important than health, after all!

Glad you're better, but I hope you don't have to go back to work that tired. That sounds miserable and could slow your recovery.

I'm dreading going back to work a bit - I feel like I'm going to hit a serious wall partway into the day, but just have to push through. And yeah, sucks because I'd probably completely recover faster if I didn't have to. :/

Love the photos! That hummingbird is ~adorable!

Cy on the bed reminds me of the photos of kittens stealing the dog's bed and the dog having to sleep on the floor or make do with the tiny kitten bed, lol! (Raven seems like a good host, though, giving her guest the bed. *g*)

Haha, that's very much what it's like. Raven tries to be such a good host, even as Cy is a bit of a rude houseguest. ;) Stealing her bed! Climbing on the couch!
