And it was even hotter today. ;_; Denver's official temperature hit 101° today.

Work was a major headache. I stayed almost a full hour late, just trying to make sure that everything was set up for me being gone for a week. (Though I was also chatting with coworkers for a few at the end of the day.)

So far Camp NaNo is going pretty well. I'm pretty far ahead of my target so far! Though with going out of town this week, I think it's fairly likely that I'll fall back behind. (I'm trying to psych myself up with being okay with completely skipping a day or two, even though I miss the completionist badges for the event, haha.)

I don't think it's sunk in quite yet that I'm free for a whole NINE DAYS away from work. (My whole five-day work-week off, plus the "weekends" at either side.) I know that it'll go super fast, and nine days from now I'll be super sad that the break is over, but for now that feels infinite, ha.

That kind of heat sucks.

Glad you are off from work for a while!

I much prefer cold, but sadly living in Oregon I have lost some of my New Englander cold tolerance. I hope the heat breaks soon.

It's that coastal wind. I used to be able to take the Northeast wind coming in, but last time I faced it I needed to get back into the car as fast as possible.

I was all: "Ah, the Connecticut coast, my home... oh god oh god."
