Apparently I'm old now...

Because I just got a new phone, and I am very stuck in CHANGE BAD mode. These defaults are weird! Why are all the buttons clustered together! Get off my lawn!

I think I've got pretty much everything moved over (forgot to back up my notes app; I'll probably just type up anything I wanted to save on my laptop.) Sidenote: scummy that providers now can kill your wifi access if your phone isn't active. In ye olden days the wifi worked even if the service had been turned off or cancelled, but now once your service ends (or is transferred to a new phone) the old one is cut off completely, so it's too late for me to transfer anything I'd forgotten to back up.

The screen is way bigger! On the one hand that's nice, on the other, it *definitely* won't fit in any pockets now. It's also super thin and I'm terrified I'm going to like... snap it. (Yes it has a case. It still feels fragile.)

This one should have a nicer camera, though I haven't really gotten to play with it yet.

Regardless: it should have a battery that doesn't drop from 70% straight to shut down! Also it was $60, which is less than it would have cost to fix my old one.

I'm sure I'll get used to it faster than I think.

You really really will get used to it quickly. When I went to my first Android phone, it took me a little bit to get used to it, but I had my damned hands on it constantly, so it really didn't take me that long. LOL The camera qualities have gone up so much. Do you have an Android phone? Or an iPhone? If you've got an Android, let me suggest some apps:

Sky Map - This is an amazing app that allows you to aim it at the sky and see what stars you're looking at by name. Or constellations. Or planets.

Meteor Shower Calendar - Just that. Tells you which meteor showers are happening and when and how to look for them. Sky Map also helps you locate them.

Moon Phase Calendar - Again, just what it says. Tells you all the moon phases and when they are.

Those are all awesome apps.

Androids are, IMO, the best. You have a wider variety of apps you can choose from whereas iPhones are limited and most of them you have to pay for. The Sky Map is one I think you'll be extremely interested in. It was useful for my sister, Kas, and me to watch the Perseids with as well as I've been able to locate Saturn and Jupiter when I never realized before that was what I was seeing.

Yeah, you usually have to switch those Back/minimize buttons, and honestly, I'm not sure how big your phone is, but that probably makes it easier to type on. My phone still isn't as big as some, but it's a little easier than my last phone to type on where I don't make AS many typos.

I am like that will all tech changes. I use my phone and other devices so much that changes really mess with me.
