Misc annoyances
Center meeting went well. It's kinda nice to see everyone all at once. Only a handful of people didn't make it. It was an 11-hour day, though.
The middle school -esque drama from yesterday continues. Ugh.
Our new lead had this week off... which worked out well because his dad had an extremely major near-fatal health event. It's... deeply lucky that he was there, because if he hadn't been his dad would have died. But now there's a lot of fear for him when he comes to work, and I feel awful for him.

We have to prepare for ANOTHER apartment inspection. We still never found out the result of the first one, which was for the county, making sure that everything is clean and working. But on Tuesday ~investors~ want to inspect, so we have to deep clean everything AGAIN. Alex did a lot today, and it looks great, but there's still the problem of there just being a lot of *stuff*. Why couldn't these inspections have been combined?
The apartments also called Alex on Thursday saying I needed to call them, because they had questions for me about our paperwork, but my phone number was disconnected. My phone number was not disconnected, so... I called them immediately, it went to voicemail, I left my phone number, and they did not call me back.

I know I literally just had a long weekend, but I feel like I need another one. (I don't get one for Labor Day, because Monday is already my day off, boo.) But I have too much I need to do!
- We have to clean the apartment by Tuesday
- Alex has something to go pick up at a store that's an hour away
- I really want to go to an indie bookstore to buy a couple books that are coming out (because indie bookstores are great), but there aren't many within easy range of us, so that'd be another hour+ drive to get to
- I'd also like to look at Halloween stuff while it's still for sale, since the window for it seems to be so short. We are the "buy Halloween stuff for year-round use" goths
- We still have some plants that need replanting, but I'm out of pots
- But also I desperately want to go on some nice walks or hikes before the warm weather is gone
- I still need to contact my dentist about my weird tooth thing
- I probably need to go to the apartment offices to answer whatever paperwork question they have, since they haven't called me back
Too much that costs money, but worse, TIME. Only some of it can be combined into the same days, and it's frustrating!

I'm cranky, probably because of all the work drama stuff on top of today being a VERY long day. But even very small things are bothering me, so I think it's probably time for me to go to bed.

Yeah, combining the inspections would've been nice. *head desk*
And the snafu with your phone number sounds ridiculous, but of course it would be your fault if you didn't go see them. *another head desk*
That is a long list of things, and it probably wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't just sprung this additional inspection on you. Good luck fitting it all in, especially book-buying and walks!

No kidding! Inspections six weeks apart from each other are just silly.
They probably just dialed my number wrong, but I'm annoyed that it was near an emergency that I call them right away... and yet can't get a call back. I'll see if I can reach them tomorrow.
And thank you! I know plenty of the things I want to do aren't things I NEED to do... but it gets tiring only having time for the frustrating "adulting" stuff, and not the things I'd actually enjoy doing! *sigh*
