Covid stuff...
Mom and Taylor both made it back from Mexico on Tuesday night. Fortunately they weren't tangled up in all of the flight cancellations or anything, which likely would have been a risk if they'd come back the day before, when freezing fog caused a lot of cancellations at our airport. They had to deal with several delays, and wound up about two and a half hours later than planned, but no other problems.
Except my mom wasn't feeling great on that last day while they were traveling... and they had a coworker on the plane refusing to mask despite running a fever at the time.
...And yeah, as you could probably see coming, my mom tested positive for Covid again on Wednesday morning.
Taylor tested negative at the time, but positive as of this afternoon.
THEY BOTH JUST HAD IT RIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING. Ugh.
Mom seems to be feeling pretty lousy, but in the "moderately bad cold" sense with lots of fatigue.
Taylor said their symptoms are "mild but annoying cold" levels - sore throat and congestion, but no fatigue or loss of smell/taste.
I'm the only one out of my immediate family to have "only" had it once. Alex is basically the only person I even know in person who hasn't had it at all. (Still amazed he didn't get it when I had it, since there's no isolating in a one-room apartment.)
*heavy sigh*

(I know a guy who has it for the fourth time. I asked Pip if he throws himself in front of it. *head desk*)

Jeez! That's some rotten luck for that guy! Or maybe he really IS throwing himself at it. I know of a couple people who've had SEVERAL cases, but a lot of them have immune system issues that make them susceptible.
