For a day that was an hour shorter...

...it sure felt long.

Probably not helped by only getting about three and a half hours of sleep. One hour short due to time change, the other time lost to spending multiple hours overnight cleaning up after a sick dog. SO FUN. so gross
It's probably on us, trying to switch up her food. She is SO underweight we switched her to a high-calorie version of the same food she'd been on at the shelter, and maybe it was just too much for her.
But I did not have a good night, and Alex apparently didn't have the *best* day with her (with another explosion in the car later in the day.)
We (meaning Alex) did get some cleaner that's formulated for gross pet messes, and some probiotics and canned pumpkin to hopefully help.

Work was the sort of mild suck that just couldn't be helped. No one called out sick today or created new emergencies, and I managed to get all of my ordinary work done early. But the class was large, and I was on my own for the paperwork end of it, which meant I was there until after 6:00 (when I normally leave at 5:00.) On the bright side, that means I can probably cut out an hour early sometime later in the week.

Went over to mom and Taylor's house for slightly belated birthday celebration. My mom made me peach pie. :) She also made spaghetti sauce, which is a favorite of mine, ha.
She gave me a couple of books - the newest Incryptid book and the newest Wayward Children novella - and a few nice pots for me to replant some of my houseplants. (Much overdue!) Those stayed at her house for now, just because they were heavy and hard for me to carry on my own.
Taylor gave me the Final Fantasy X/X-2 PS3 port, because sometimes I just want to play a JRPG, and Priory of the Orange Tree.

Tonight I am ready to nod off, so everything else is happening tomorrow.

Also lunch with dad tomorrow.

And I really hope I get to stay asleep for more than a couple of hours without small pit bulls exploding.

Oof, sick animals are hard to deal with. I hope that gets better.

Have fun with FFX. Have you played that one before?

FFX was my first FF game. Since it's my first it's my favorite... even though that makes me a heathen :)

Tam was notorious for eating things he wasn't supposed to because he had separation anxiety and because it took a few months to learn entirely how to Tam-proof the apartment before we went out anywhere. Once he ate some chocolate-covered espresso beans. Other than getting diarrhea, he had an iron stomach and never got sick-sick from any of it. But the diarrhea was bad enough because he was a big-big dog. One of the things that I would do when that happened was give him half a cup of cooked rice once or twice in one day, and that always fixed the issue without giving him constipation instead. I don't know if that would help Bella, and hopefully the other stuff you got will help, but if it doesn't, the rice couldn't hurt.

Sounds like other than Bella being ill and the suck of work, you've had a fairly decent birthday few days so far. I hope lunch with your dad goes really well tomorrow!

I hope you have an uninterrupted sleep. Also hope the dog becomes healthier, oof.

Gah, cleaning up after cats with unhappy guts is bad enough. I can only imagine with a largish dog! (Even if she's a small largish dog.) For everyone's sake, I hope she feels better ASAP.

It sounds like a good evening last night. Yay! I hope lunch with your dad is good too.
