Tuesday: Pelican Pond... 2!
On Tuesday we went back to Pelican Pond, since we'd only had a pretty brief walk there on Monday. We did walk around the whole lake this time, which led to very tired dogs, but it was nice to be out. (Except for the sunburn.)
And of course, there were pelicans. With herons and cormorants on the island in the background.
This chickadee had lots of things to say to us, lol.
A heron with a snack!
And then majestically flying off.
By contrast, a different heron in a much less majestic stage of takeoff, lol. I kind of like that it looks like Mothman, though.
More from the chatty chickadee. I liked that I got a picture of him with his tail flared out.
The pelicans. So big.
She's partially behind a branch, but a flicker!
More flowers! Vinca!
