In which I am whiny because I'm cold and think I have a cold. :(
Kind of a stupid day at work. As usual, not truly bad, but just with compounding annoyances.
It is real damn cold, though. It was hovering around 1° most of the day, and it was *freezing* at my desk, which is up against the poorly-insulated windows and next to the door. My space heater was requisitioned for the Wheat Ridge office, because their heat went out. (One of those compounding annoyances: the fact that the manager up there was too damn helpless to go buy her own damn space heaters, so my manager had to take ours and bring them up to her.)
It's supposed to be even colder tomorrow (with additional snow and ice and wind chill down to -25°!) and I'm frankly dreading it. Plus that damn sinus headache hasn't lessened any.
I don't really want to have another wasted day (in terms of creative stuff), but I'm very much just not feeling it.
One of our drivers calling in this morning was the first of the day's annoyances, and I don't want to make things any worse on the office... but it's real tempting to call in tomorrow. I genuinely don't feel well, but I know I can tough it out. I just don't want to.
