Today was a major "fuck RIGHT off" day at work...
There was a LOT of having to fix other people's fuckups and managing other people's frustrations.
An instructor called out, the manager was at another office, an instructor and I had to scramble to fix a problem that had compounded over SEVERAL other locations unrelated to ours, then I struggled to get the places that had been the source of the problem to give me even the BASIC info I needed in order to fix it for the student, people showing up without appointments, people showing up because they were told over the phone that we had some mythical available appointments that we did not have which created MORE for me to fix, an instructor getting into an argument over parking with a patron of another business who then came to yell at me over it, people being given totally wrong information that makes me look like a bitch when I try to enforce the actual rule... the whole thing was a fucking mess that never relented.
Tomorrow will be a 9 or 10 hour day, because it's a class close.
The brakes started making a bad noise, so now I have to figure out how to fit that into the budget somehow.
I'm extremely tired, and tired OF feeling like I have to clean up other messes. Because again, all of this is "invisible" once dealt with, so I just had a TERRIBLE day spent putting out fires... but the only metrics that reflect my "success" in the eyes of corporate are calls and sales, two things which I got to do NONE of today, because of all the other shit I was dealing with.
