Monday 6/26: The Butterfly Pavilion - Part 2 (the butterflies)

A clipper butterfly, and one of my favorite pictures from the day. :) I love how many colors there are!


The color on these guys is extremely intense, but only from certain angles.




Owl spots. :)


Impressively intense color on a fairly small butterfly.


This one is much more "plain" in color, but I think it's very pretty.


A classic morpho!


Nice green and rusty-brown.


"This is harassment!"


I don't know what type of butterfly this is... they look so very much like palette-swapped monarchs.


I really like the detail on the wings. The little dots make me think of rivets or marquee lights.

I can't get over just how many types of butterflies there are! I've seen some really lovely ones that are orange with black spots.

There are SO many!

There are a bunch of orange and black ones, and I love all of them. Painted ladies, monarchs, fritillaries, admirals...
