I'm feeling about the same today - still with the sinus pressure headache and general blah. Also, I went to blow my nose and it was like someone had dumped poprocks in my ears. Fucking OW. So glad the ear tubes are getting in on the fun from the nose tubes.

It was tempting to just make a blanket tent and spend the day in bed, but actually I managed to do several things. (Which is an accomplishment for me, lol.) I do hope I didn't OVERdo it, though. But this way I don't have to feel bad if I wind up not doing much tomorrow.

I worked on my NaMoPaiMo model. He's got shading now!


Color looks more chestnut than bay, but I hope he'll get there. I think it looks a little better in person than in the picture, but the shading is coming along!

I tackled my cleaning goal for the week: the fucking windowsill. It's probably been at least a year, maybe two since we really cleaned it. Yikes. It's easily out of sight/out of mind, because we have the hanging blinds mostly closed most of the time, and the plants crowd the other side. But there was a lot of dust and the super fine road grit that makes it through the closed windows. (And a dead moth. Where the fuck did that even come from?)

And I finished The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. I'm PAINFULLY slow at reading physical books lately, so I wish it hadn't taken me so long, but I enjoyed it!
Taylor has been doing book reviews on their tumblr when they finish something, and I'm trying to decide if I should do the same. My review skills are rusty.
Now I need to decide what to read next. I have an enormous TBR pile. I'm leaning toward River of Teeth by Sarah Gailey as my next one. It's fairly short, and I've seen it recommended in several places.

We got a lot of snow, but the sun melted most of it off the roads by midday. Still cold, but not below 0 at least.

Alex is also not feeling well. All we have is one of those stupid color-changing strip thermometers (it's like a mood ring... for science!) and it says he has a 99° fever. Not super concerning, but also not great.

I wish I still did reviews in some format, but I'd mostly just write about random old shows and likely no one would read them.

I feel mostly the same... I *want* to write reviews, because I love talking about shit I like (or bitching about shit I thought sucked), but it's a lot of effort, and usually not a lot of return engagement.

I *do* want to try and write up some review things when they're applicable to the trans media club group.

Yeah, the shows I write about would be too random of a set to get any sort of following. I just don't have the time to be on top of things enough to write about whatever's new.

Reviews to Trans Media Club would be amazing! I feel bad because I am (virtually) at Escapade this weekend and the Trans Rep panel is opposite the Leverage panel, so Leverage wins. I am hoping someone can give me a list of the cannons they discuss in case there is anything I don't know about.

I'm terrible at being current, haha. I mostly catch stuff on streaming, so it's usually out of at least its first run of interest.

Will they have recordings of the panels available later? I feel like that's easier to do now, with events being virtual, but I know not everyplace does so. But if you do get a list of canons, I hope you share! I'm sure there's great stuff out there I've never heard of.

No recording. I asked for a list of what they talked about, but it was mostly shows without any canon textual trans content. Homestuck, games where you can choose gender, etc.

I am sure there is stuff I am sleeping on but it's hard to find the the usual way you find shows with X type of content. I hear Ikenfell has great NB characters, but none of the reviews give me deets and most don't mention it. To do a post I'd have to play it and I'm too busy playing Phasmophobia.

I can definitely see why on trans media club you want people to distinguish between canon trans content and trans vibes/subtext. To be clear, I really enjoy queer subtext of pretty much any flavor, but it's not the same as having something actually textually on-page/screen.

So many reccs *don't* distinguish between canon content and subtext or easy interpretations... that can make it that much harder to find.

Yeah, vibes are great and it's interesting how much trans communities are into Homestuck and The Bone Doll Twin, but I want those in a separate category!

I mean, it's a common complaint in fandom that shows get recced as queer and there is nothing textually queer about them, they are just very slashy.
