Periodically I have ideas for longer-form entries I could post here. Like blog posts with an actual topic. Naturally, I forget any of those ideas when I actually sit down to write them.
I'm low-key dreading the work week, since my manager is out on Monday and Tuesday. She definitely needs the time off, but that always seems to be the cue for everything to rapidly go to shit and light itself on fire, lol.
Today was slow, so I got to finish editing the next chapter of Steffi's book while I was working, which was nice. I'm still feeling better than I was, so I hope that trend continues. Sounds like one of my other coworkers found out she had a Covid exposure, but I don't think I've seen her since then.
Earlier today I had the stupid urge to buy a copy of Final Fantasy X (the remaster for the PS3), because I very strongly wanted to play an older-but-not-real-old JRPG, and I never actually played X. I could get it for about $20 on Amazon, but I already spent my discretionary funds for the month, lol.
I pre-ordered a set of enamel pins designed for the 15 Fears from The Magnus Archives. (I've ordered pins from the designer before, and like their stuff, and I've really been loving that podcast. I'm fairly far behind, because Taylor and I listen together, so neither of us listens ahead.) It was spendy, but it's my early/late birthday gift to myself. Or so I justify it.
I'm pretty happy about the Mars Rover having successfully landed on Thursday! Go Perseverance!
And yesterday an airplane experienced catastrophic engine failure and dropped parts all over a neighborhood a ways north of here. Fortunately the plane was able to return to DIA and land without any injuries. But... yikes.
I'm not going anywhere with any of that. I'm just procrastinating, because I need to shower, but should also write or try to get some work done on my silly little plastic horse, and I want to be lazy.

Hey, sometimes you have to pamper yourself a little. I know that I'll be doing the same close to and around my birthday. I want to create another tea mug for myself similar to the other one with the Norse prayer but with Loki and tea somehow. My sister said she'd get that for me for my birthday if I wanted. If I get Amazon gift cards, I'm going to possibly splurge and get a Chemex. I don't know. Or more Funkos. LOL Stupid addictive Marvel things.

Absolutely it's sometimes necessary to just splurge on something you want! I know that the pins will come late for my birthday (I think estimated fulfillment is in April), but I still wanted to get them for myself.
Ooh, another tea mug would be neat. Or just fun collectable things!

I designed the mug today because Cafe Press was having a 40% off sale of everything today and today only. So I designed it, and my sister bought it as one of my birthday presents from her. This is what I used - I photoshopped these images together into one image, and they'll wrap around the mug.
It's Loki and Tony Stark, one of my top favorite pairings, but really cutie pies.
