August 22: Hudson Gardens (Frogs, Frogs, Frogs)

A while back, during that time I was barely posting, we went to Hudson Gardens again. AND THERE WERE SO MANY FROGS.

Look at this fuzzy bumblebee, on its lovely sunflower!

A nice big bullfrog.

I like the striped lilies. Also, a bright koi!

The neat kaleidoscope art piece was still aimed at the dish of cacti. I always love it.

The beehives

Some lovely water lilies... and also frogspotting #1! (It's at the base of the two purple lilies.)

The same frog and the same lilies, but from a different angle. :)

A squash.

A family of wood ducks. Six of them!

Then we walked over to one of the wetlands areas, where there are a lot of cattails.

This is where we found ALL THE FROGS. Alas, they were pretty far down, so the pictures are a bit blurry, but. So many frogs. So many.

Some little froglets, right in between tadpole and frog! They still have tails!

This is super zoomed in, so not really the clearest frogs, but there were just... so many. This is probably the most frog per square foot I remember ever seeing.

At least eight of them in this little picture alone!

More frogs.
