Moar bug pics.
Mostly an unproductive day... but I did get some extra sleep, and I'm glad for that.
I lived in my current apartment, but was living with a coworker from my library job in college. She had a boyfriend who was staying with us, and was obviously very annoyed that I was there, ha. She and I were sharing a bed, purely for space reasons because it was still a tiny studio, and he clearly kept hinting around where was *he* going to sleep, and didn't I have somewhere else to go for the night? I kept pretending to be oblivious, and pointing out there was a couch for him to sleep on, smilesmile. (The couch is not real, and wouldn't really fit in here, but oh well.)
Then it was the same dream, except very clearly not, but Alex and I were on a ship sailing somewhere. We were below decks, in a narrow kitchen, talking with the rest of the crew (as it seemed we were there for a reason, not for travel.) There'd been some issue with food supplies for the voyage, and we only had half of what we needed. We were hoping to supplement it with fishing throughout the journey, but there'd been some sabotage to some apparatus that held the fishing nets.
The dream ended with me examining a pair of live crabs that were in the ship's kitchen sink.
We also managed to get Alex's show ribbons hung up, which has been on the to-do list for months, lol.
Today was a fairly fall-like day - grey, overcast, cool. I like fall, but would prefer it to be about five degrees warmer, lol.
We did go to a neighborhood park to give the dogs a walk and a chance to roll in the wet grass. (It rained quite a bit through the night, which is also a good thing.)
And the neighborhood park, naturally, means BUG CLOSEUPS.
My favorite of the day:

A bee-fly! Kind of chilled, I think, so not interested in moving much, which made photos easier. Look how fuzzy!

More ambush bugs making more ambush bugs.

A conchuela stink bug (I think).

The bee-fly. I love him and want to pet him.

A sleeping wasp.

And a honey bee.

And bonus dogs!

And the dogs were magically cooperative for a pic together for once, ha.

I love the bugs! And what a cute pic of the doggies! That's one that could be printed and framed. <3

And yes, good bugs! The pic of the dogs did turn out nicely. <3 It's a rarity for them to pose together cooperatively, ha.

I like dreams that have that comforting feeling to them. I do have a lot that take place in the same or similar places. Lots of them happen in a place that I know of as my childhood home, even if it sometimes looks different than it did in reality. I usually really like those.
Ugh, school anxiety dreams. I still have so many of those, where either it's the first day and I'm lost, and can't find where I need to be, OR it's the end of the year and I've discovered there was some class I never attended.
Taylor had a semi-viral tumblr post (as in, popular enough I saw it in the wild on FB accounts that repost tumblr screenshots, which was kind of funny) about how the fact that school anxiety dreams are SO common, to the point almost EVERYONE seems to have them even decades after they've left school, is... well, probably not great!

School dreams - it's kind of weirdly comforting to know that people have had school dreams that are so similar to each other. I mean, mine usually are my old high school (that, like Corpus itself, never looks exactly like it used to - which now it's closed down anyway and they built a new high school set up for it, so), or it's a college I've never actually been to. But esp when it's high school (and I'm never actually high school age again), I have to fight to remember my locker combination only to pull out my math book with the realization that I haven't been to math in like 3-6 months and oh hey, there's a test today. I hate those. LOL In the college dreams, esp, there's a lot of walking through the halls between classes, and the classes are always weird.

Also, puppers!

And always the pups. <3
