Moar bug pics.

Mostly an unproductive day... but I did get some extra sleep, and I'm glad for that.

I lived in my current apartment, but was living with a coworker from my library job in college. She had a boyfriend who was staying with us, and was obviously very annoyed that I was there, ha. She and I were sharing a bed, purely for space reasons because it was still a tiny studio, and he clearly kept hinting around where was *he* going to sleep, and didn't I have somewhere else to go for the night? I kept pretending to be oblivious, and pointing out there was a couch for him to sleep on, smilesmile. (The couch is not real, and wouldn't really fit in here, but oh well.)

Then it was the same dream, except very clearly not, but Alex and I were on a ship sailing somewhere. We were below decks, in a narrow kitchen, talking with the rest of the crew (as it seemed we were there for a reason, not for travel.) There'd been some issue with food supplies for the voyage, and we only had half of what we needed. We were hoping to supplement it with fishing throughout the journey, but there'd been some sabotage to some apparatus that held the fishing nets.
The dream ended with me examining a pair of live crabs that were in the ship's kitchen sink.

We also managed to get Alex's show ribbons hung up, which has been on the to-do list for months, lol.

Today was a fairly fall-like day - grey, overcast, cool. I like fall, but would prefer it to be about five degrees warmer, lol.

We did go to a neighborhood park to give the dogs a walk and a chance to roll in the wet grass. (It rained quite a bit through the night, which is also a good thing.)

And the neighborhood park, naturally, means BUG CLOSEUPS.

My favorite of the day:

A bee-fly! Kind of chilled, I think, so not interested in moving much, which made photos easier. Look how fuzzy!

More ambush bugs making more ambush bugs.

A conchuela stink bug (I think).

The bee-fly. I love him and want to pet him.

A sleeping wasp.

And a honey bee.

And bonus dogs!

Okay, that was a weird dream, and definitely time to kick that co-worker and her wink-wink boyfriend out! Ugh. The cruise ship one was more interesting-weird and definitely speaks more toward solving problems and being productive and useful (rather than just straight-out annoyed because other people exist).

I love the bugs! And what a cute pic of the doggies! That's one that could be printed and framed. <3

LOL That we were! Maybe that was your brain's way of saying, "Oh! Did you want to dream about someone you haven't seen in yonks? Well, here ya go!" I've been having dreams that are somehow meshed bits of old rp I used to do with Kas (I've been re-reading them before bed to help me sleep), moving to anywhere other than Texas, and the actors I tend to dream about (except for you, Bierko! You stay the fuck out, buddy-boy!). Very weird dreams, but they're oddly comforting. Maybe the ship one will show up again some night. I have some dreams that are repeat dreams - or kind of repeat dreamscapes with some of the same players and similar situations. I don't usually mind this except for school dreams. I *hate* those because they're stressful.

I like comforting dreams, too. Comforting and sexy and tactile. Most of the time I dream about myself in Texas, it's in Corpus. Never really up in this area or Austin or anywhere like that. Always Corpus, where I'm from. Rarely looks exactly like Corpus, but there are always markers that let me know that's where I am. Otherwise, I dream of living somewhere else. I went through a whole period of time where my dreams were very definitely VA or VA-like. Autumn, misty, foggy, beautiful with some coastal areas that I lived at, and that was always comforting along with other aspects of the dream that were comforting. But yeah, Corpus never looks exactly like Corpus, though to be fair, after going back down to Corpus those two times the last couple of years, it doesn't look entirely like it used to anymore.

School dreams - it's kind of weirdly comforting to know that people have had school dreams that are so similar to each other. I mean, mine usually are my old high school (that, like Corpus itself, never looks exactly like it used to - which now it's closed down anyway and they built a new high school set up for it, so), or it's a college I've never actually been to. But esp when it's high school (and I'm never actually high school age again), I have to fight to remember my locker combination only to pull out my math book with the realization that I haven't been to math in like 3-6 months and oh hey, there's a test today. I hate those. LOL In the college dreams, esp, there's a lot of walking through the halls between classes, and the classes are always weird.
