Habit Tracking: Week 27 (June 30 - July 06)

Certainly not in a patriotic mood for my layout, so a frog being confused by a piece of fruit. (Since this is Traditional Fruit Salad Holiday for us!)

This week was okay. The fourth was fun! Having the mid-week holiday did make the rest of the week feel a little off, though. The whole... political everything definitely started to get to me more/I got less good at keeping it at bay. I also had a bit of a mood tank at the end of the week regarding creative stuff in general in a way that was a bit frustrating. Still kind of trying to sort it out.

Goals for the week:

  • I still haven't set up my new phone, which feels silly
  • I didn't work on my idea inventories
  • I did read more of The Name of the Wind
  • I did my GYWO check-in for June: 2844 words written in June, bringing the ytd total to 41134
  • I did declare the idea inventorying as a goal via Camp NaNo
  • I did go pick up the truck registration for this year
  • We did a big grocery trip
  • I made the fruit salad! :)
  • Alex did go get/pay rent
  • I did the July grids for my tracker and they're crooked and I'm mad at me, lol

Tracked habits:

  • Work - 4/7 (since we were closed for the 4th)
  • Household Maintenance - 3/7
  • Physical Activity - 3/7
  • Wrote 500/1000+ Words - 0/7
  • Wrote on 2nd+ Draft - 0/7
  • Meta Work - 6/7
  • Personal Writing - 5/7
  • Other Creative Things - 0/7
  • Reading - 3/7 - read some of The Name of the Wind and some fic
  • Attention to Media - 5/7 - Sunday we watched The Dark Tapes which was an okayish low-budget anthology, and Pet Semetary: Bloodlines which had a better cast than story, then Final Summer which was a slasher throwback but I couldn't get over the fact that it was "Camp Silver Lake" instead of "Camp Crystal Lake"; Tuesday we half-watched Dolls which was a better supernatural horror than I expected, then half-rewatched House on Elm Lake which was still not good; Wednesday half-watched Atakan: The Bloody Legend which I might have enjoyed if I'd been more focused, and then started watching a horror movie called Don't Speak but I fell asleep; Friday we watched Cold Meat which was an okay thriller, but advertised more supernatural monster presence than there was, the half-watched Das Haus which was very badly dubbed and also maybe poorly translated; Saturday we watched the two available episodes of Alone: Australia.
  • Video Games - 0/7
  • Social Interaction - 4/7
