Attack of the bee-lizards.
By which I mean we got officially upgraded to a blizzard warning! And I like bad wordplay.
I did not go into the office today - the snow had petered out a bit when I fell asleep, but I woke up around 4:00 and it was pretty bad again. The wind has been really strong (sounds like a damn tornado outside), and the roads were pretty slick. If they're mad that I didn't go in, I guess that's a tomorrow problem for me.

The view across the street. Visibility is extremely low, hence the blizzard warning.
But dogs gotta pee, so we did bundle up for a quick trip outside. The snow out back was only about knee-high on the dog, but with how much wind there is, it's hard to tell how much we've actually gotten. Maybe around a foot? Not the 5 feet of panic we were originally threatened with, but definitely on track for somewhere between 1 and 3 feet by the end.

Running!

Scooting!

He'd just faceplanted and gotten snow up his nose.

More running!
I am a little nervous about getting into the office tomorrow. I'm supposed to be training a new person, so I really need to not miss... but if this continues into tonight, I have no idea if the roads will be passable tomorrow. This whole storm was delayed, and I don't think anyone thought about it past today.
Time change hit me harder than I thought it would, and I didn't sleep well anyway, between worry about going in today and how loud the wind is, so I haven't done much with my day off.
I should try to edit a chapter of my friend's book, and maybe just marathon some reading or writing. Or try to write up my review of River of Teeth/Taste of Marrow. Gotta work through that decision paralysis. Then again... a nap sounds lovely...
