Habit Tracking: Week 02 (January 05 - January 11)

Koi this week! I wanted something in a warm color scheme this week. (And like how the tracker boxes sort of vaguely do look like the fish scales.)

This week was pretty good. I got back to writing some, and did push pretty hard to read more than has been typical for me. (It was dismaying to discover that my TBR is actually more than 90 books long...) Work was fine. Alex is still not feeling well, which is a shame. The fires in California are horrifying. I'm still fighting against the feeling that everything is doomed, and trying to focus on small-scale positives, even when it feels inadequate. If nothing else, glad our heat was finally fixed!

Goals for the week:

  • We paid our rent
  • I spoke to the manager (brand new, on her first day, apparently) and put in a new request for the heat. She put in the request and they came out to fix it within a few hours.
  • I did get back to writing
  • I read more of The House in the Cerulean Sea
  • I did figure out my TBR list, for better or for worse
  • I did not start putting the Christmas decorations away yet

Tracked habits:

  • Work - 5/7
  • Household Maintenance - 1/7
  • Physical Activity - 1/7
  • Wrote 500/1000+ Words - 4/7 - two days of over 1000 words, two days of over 500
  • Wrote on 2nd+ Draft - 0/7
  • Meta Work - 5/7
  • Personal Writing - 5/7
  • Other Creative Things - 1/7
  • Reading - 7/7 - mostly on The House in the Cerulean Sea, though a little bit on my current so-so ebook, and a little on The Infernal City with Alex
  • Attention to Media - 7/7 - Sunday we listened to storm chasing, and started a crappy horror movie called Forclosure, but I fell asleep; Monday we watched The Watchers which was okay, and then rewatched Freaks, which is pretty good; Tuesday we watched What Happened at 625 River Road which seemed like there was at least intent behind it, but was hampered by either inexperience or budget, and then Initiation, which was a pretty good slasher; Wednesday we watched Exhume and The Hanged Girl which were both kind of mediocre horror movies, then watched coverage of the fires; Thursday we half-watched some storm chasing and I listened to music; Friday we watched Trapped Inn which was a pretty lousy horror movie but was at least entertainingly so; Saturday we watched the Ravens game.
  • Video Games - 0/7
  • Social Interaction - 6/7

Total words written: 3441 on one post here and on my current WIP
