Made it to Las Cruces. 10.5 hours, so made good time, despite some terrible weather on the way. Raton wasn't too bad, but south into New Mexico the roads were slushy and icey, and it snowed quite a bit.
Nice here, though! Far enough south, lol.

I'm planning on a super early night though. I think I got a total of about 4 hours of sleep (maybe less).

I actually really love the desert area around there. (Spent lots of childhood summers split between my aunt's house just north of there and the Gila forest elsewhere in the state.)
I didn't see it at the right part of the evening, sadly - we were either heading in or out in the morning or after dark. Alas!
