Quick dad update:

Dad's surgery went well yesterday, though he said it hurt quite a lot. (Which... aaaaaaa, eye surgery, yes, that sounds horribly painful.)

Today he had a follow up appointment, and while everything is still very sore, it sounds like everything looks good. It'll be a few weeks to heal up, and then six months or so of checkups, but so far so good.

He's glad to have binocular vision again, ha.

That's good news! I'm glad the surgery went well. But I'm cringing at the thought of anything sharp or pointy near the eye.

So glad it went well, too! He said this is the worst of the eye surgeries he's had in terms of pain... and reminded me that this is eye surgery number *twelve*, which sets off all my cringing reactions! Ugh! (I knew he'd had eye surgeries before, but I did not realize it had been so many!)
