Happy Easter
Or world rat day, whichever you're more excited about. ;)
It was a regular work day for me, though it's almost certainly the slowest day of the year. I think everyone assumes we're closed. I did have multiple calls from people with appointments, asking if we were *really* open. Another person apologized as soon as I answered, saying she thought she'd just leave a message and was so sorry we were working on Easter, ha. Another person replied to an email about rescheduling an appointment with a string of semi-religious emojis.
It's really just another day to me, so it doesn't bother me to be at work. Alex made us a nice dinner (salmon and zucchini), and Broccoli Cheddar Bomb ate a very fat cricket, but that was about the extent of our Easter festivities, lol.
(Broccoli Cheddar Bomb also woke me up at 4:15 with a serenade somewhere between a small dog barking and a low-pitched shoe-squeaking-on-a-gym-floor sound, lol.)
My brain has definitely been scattered the past couple days, where I'm easily distracted and forgetful, which is annoying. I really wish I could get that super-productive feeling I had for about two days - that was great! I AM feeling better in general, though. Less drained/burned out. I'm even trying to keep up with the main fandom discord server I'm in, which I didn't have the energy for for months.
Gonna go try and figure out my writing snarls with this part of my fic, and maybe call it an early night, because I'm stupid tired.
