Lazy day
Poor Alex is getting the full flu-like experience from his vax. Had a fever, skin hurts, achey, stomach upset, exhausted... He got the shot Tuesday, and yesterday felt pretty shitty. This morning he still didn't feel great, but went to a doctor's appointment (just the regular monthly checkup he has.) He was feeling a little better, and since the weather was nice (warm, but windy) he decided he'd go ride. He *definitely* overdid it, and about half an hour in had to give up. I hope the rest of the crud passes quickly, since usually the side effects are supposed to run their course in about 48 hours.

I had a super lazy day, on my end. I went along when he went out to ride, and started rereading River of Teeth since by now it's been a while since I read it, and if I am going to ever post about it, I should probably remember it.
I also wrote, so I feel good about that. I *think* I sorted out my structural issue with Chapter 4... I changed the order and the timeline for several scenes, and I think it works a lot better now. It *does* have a few scenes that sort of do the same thing as each other, which was part of what I'd initially been trying not to do... but I think I've made them different enough from each other that it won't be boring to read, each one offers up at least *something* to the story, and it better conveys the passage of time and routine that characters have fallen into. And through the magic of fanfic, I can tell my story however I want, lol.
I think that also means that this is now going to be two slightly shorter chapters (instead of one MONSTER chapter), which will be a minor annoyance for the rest of it, as chapter 6 of draft two will be chapter 5 from the first draft and such, but that's pretty minor on the scale of complaints.

Yay for writing! I finished and posted Chapter 7 of Hemispheres the other day, and I'm already working on Chapter 8 along with another fic that's being fun and about to get sexy.

The other fic I'm working on is a Scott Summers/Tony Stark fic. A friend of mine and I were joking about them as a pairing to piss off a stalker of hers (who she's hopefully dislodged from her now but who is still following me, I think, on Tumblr) who hates Tony Stark and really only likes Scott/Logan (or Scott with Emma). But she's writing a fic - the stalker is - that's pretty rapey that she didn't tag as rape until it was pointed out to her multiple times that it was rapey (it's Jean repeatedly forcing Scott to have sex with her so she can get pregnant), and the stalker really wanted me to read it, but my friend told me what it was about and there's no way I'm reading it. Anyway, what started out as a sort of spite/joke pair has turned into something that my friend and I REALLY like. She's already written one Scott/Tony fic that's sexy, and I'm hoping she'll continue it at some point. Just like I'd like to continue this one after I've finished the first one. We're also not holding back anymore, esp with these fics. No more being nice or avoiding the "Jean problem." We're not fridging her or anything. Just letting Tony let loose with the snark at her. LOL

And thanks. The stalker chick wasn't really MY stalker chick but the stalker chick of my friend. My friend actually blocked her yesterday on Tumblr and Discord, but she (stalker chick) actually commented on my friend's latest chapter. It just wasn't the novel-length gushing fic she tends to write. Honestly, I'm wondering if she'll read my Scott/Tony fic and comment at all or if she'll just ignore it. Part of me almost wishes she'll try to pick a fight with me by criticizing Tony (she hates him) or pull her manipulative stunts to think she's getting me to write what she wants. She did this to my friend all the time in her comments. Or she tried to. Never happened. LOL

I am glad that she wasn't ever super stalk-y to you, though tbh, I kind of do hope she tries her pushy manipulative garbage on you. ;) I feel like she's not going to enjoy the experience if she does, haha.
