Today was ~buying tires~. We've put it off since getting the flat, but if we got another we'd be fucked. Apparently everyone needed tires today, so it was a two hour wait, but at least it's done! We walked through the park near the tire place, even though it was a little chilly, and that was nice. Lots of ducks and geese getting ready to nest, and some ducks besides the regular mallards. Also a downy woodpecker, a cormorant, robins, a nuthatch, red-winged blackbirds, a flicker... I like birds, and I miss getting to see lots of them, ha.

Alex is feeling better in terms of side-effects, which is good, too. His hip has started bothering him now, which he got a PT referral for. But it seems like he has some new thing causing problems every week.

I worked a little on the translation of the next chapter of my friend's book, but then the internet died for a while, so I paused on that. (The internet is back now, but I have to do it on my work computer, since email is one of the things I can't do on my laptop anymore, heh.)

Now to go write a bit.

Ugh. Tires are a pain in the ass, but it has to be done. I need to get my car over just to check the air and have the tires rotated, which I can do free at the Discount Tires where I took him to for all new tires last year. But when I get my stim check in, I'm going to get his driver's side window fixed so that I can roll it down and then I'll have to do inspection, registration, and probably oil change. Fun. (But I'm also planning for tattoos in there if I can - just the runic ones that shouldn't cost me a lot.)

Yeah, car maintenance is always a pain, but very necessary. I think an oil change is probably the next one. The stim check was definitely what let us get the tires without it being too painful a purchase.

But ooh, tattoos sound much more fun! ;)

The tats will be simple as they're my first. On my left arm will be Loki, Odin, Thor, Freyr in runes and the right arm will be Sigyn, Frigga, Sif, and Freya in runes. Simple basic runes, nothing fancy, not like 3D or anything. It's just very spiritual. It's my way to honor them and essentially be a personal blood sacrifice in its way - like I owe them for getting me through all the shit with Jeff and my brother and all those ex-friends, so this is my showing my gratitude. After that, tattoos might be more complex and I'll have to save up a lot more for them, and there'll be more art to them.

I love that! I think those are wonderful tattoos to get, and absolutely some of the most meaningful.
