Well, my symptoms for Covid shot #1 are almost completely gone today. Yesterday my arm was still pretty sore, and moving it around much hurt a lot. My joints were a wee bit achey, though not badly so. This morning when I woke up the injection site was slightly tender, kind of like a days-old bruise. By the afternoon, I could press on the injection site and not feel it at all. I'm pretty sure the minor joint aches that remain are the result of the weather system moving in, not the shot.

Because we are expecting shitty weather. :( It's April, we've had a couple days that nearly hit 80°, and grass is turning green/trees are starting to bud... but for the next week to two we're expecting cold rain and snow and high temps only in the 40s. I'm so fucking sick of being cold! Yes, yes, all the usual "bUt We NeEd ThE mOiStUrE" and yeah, we do, I know. I'll be happy for the gardens and maybe some relief to the drought and the hope of a NON-record setting fire year. BUT STILL. I'M READY FOR SPRING.

I don't think I have anything I need to do for my "weekend", which I'm looking forward to.

We're getting rain now and I don't like it! It's cold and damp when I want some sun and warmer temps. *stomps foot*

I'm definitely in *stomps foot and whines* territory with this. I'm sick of this winter garbage! Give me spring and summer!!

I'm glad you're feeling better, but I figured you'd be over it pretty quick. That's what I'm hearing from most people who were hit with symptoms after the shot, particularly after the second. They last about a day, two tops, and they drank a lot of water, hot team, took ibuprofen/tylenol, and ate light foods. And slept a lot.

Yeah, our weather is kinda weird right now. We're in the second week of April, and most of our highs this week are in the 70s and some in the 60s. O_o The rain is kind of a usual thing for March-April, but these temps are weird for spring.

Same - Taylor had arm pain for a little longer with shot one, and Alex's side effects from shot 2 lasted about 72 hours, but for most people it's pretty mild. I requested the day of my second shot and the day after off from work as a precaution, but I'm hoping it'll be easy again.

That seems pretty low, temp wise, for you guys! I remember the January in Austin a few years ago was into the 70s. Here it's been snowing most of the day, and I hate it, haha.

I've also been told that if you immediately start taking ibuprofen or tylenol after your shot, it sort of helps to lessen the ick feelings from the start if you're going to have them. I hated the arm pain. Gods, that was horrible, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as the tetanus shot I got last year. At least, those shots are every 10 years!

This is really low for us for this time of year. Usually by this point of spring, we're in the 80s and starting to inch into the 90s before the massive summer heat hits in late May/early June. I'm ready for 80s. I'm not ready for 90s and I sure as hell am not ready for 100s.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the fic! There will be more with this pair. They've already spoken up and want more. Tony thinking about getting Scott to Malibu is, of course, going to spawn a Malibu trip for them (and it'll have the added bonus of Emma telling Scott that she can handle the school without him there because she's got enough of the others who'll help her -- and she'll put Jean in her place -- and she's also inviting her boyfriend to stay at the school while Scott's gone, so I'm pretty sure that Loki being there on campus will be all shades of fun for everyone LOL), and there are other fics planned for Scott being at the tower and probably some with Tony staying at the school. LOL It's going to be a lot of fun.

I did take some naproxen just a little while after mine, so that may have helped! I'll try to remember to take it right away after shot 2, since I waited a bit before I thought of it with the first one.
The arm pain was definitely the worst of my symptoms. (The joint aches sucked, but the arm pain made it hard to even move that arm at all.) Last time I got a tetanus shot I don't remember if I had arm pain. I got it after the bad car accident that sent me to the hospital, so any soreness I probably blamed on that, ha.

Well, all this cold weather stuff can end any time, in my opinion. I hope the worst of the heat holds off for you, but I'll take whatever heat it wants to throw at me, tbh.
