Still in the hospital.

Rough night.

Basically, the issue is trying to get my guts to function again. They pretty much quit after the trauma of the infection and the surgery. So I have to be able to digest and pass things through the system without throwing up before I can leave.

There's been some progress, so I'm hopeful.

This is a disgusting process, lol. I still recommend avoiding this altogether!

*hugs super gently in spirit* <3

Anesthesia itself is hecking rough on the gut much less freaking **appendicitis**, holy hell that's a lot... :(

I'm genuinely rooting for you and your guts to recover sufficiently that they'll release you to heal up and rest at home ASAP. I also really, really hope that all systems have fully returned to their normal functioning and programming as of this comment and that you're keeping things down okay now. <3

Edited to add - Something I just thought of from my own surgery trials and tribulations is I've discovered I'm extremely sensitive to opiods (if not outright allergic) and one of my symptoms is exorcist-style vomiting after being given a dose. (I can only have NSAIDs, period, now.) Are you having issues with your gut firing up and balking at that process, or is it possible the pain medications they may have put you on for your unholy painful abdominal surgery causing issues?

Edited again to add - Something else I also thought of is some classes of antibiotics are also notorious nausea causers.

Super massive disclaimer - I am absolutely *NOT* a medical doctor though, just tossing out other ideas in hopes that it's a simple, quick medication adjustment or something simple along those lines that gets you back on track in case it's not just the egregious trauma your body just endured...

I've not heard of an appendicitis having such a fallout before. Are your kidneys rebelling? Any idea what set the appendix off?
I really hope everything improves for you.
