Oh, *there* are the side effects

Oof.

Yeah, the second shot is knocking me around pretty hard today. My fever had gone from the 100-ish of yesterday to 102 this morning. I did have a hard time staying asleep, despite being very tired, and when I did sleep, I had weird fever-anxiety dreams, mostly about work.

Everything hurts - headache + joints + skin. My hands and hips are the worst for joint pain, and my neck, back, and thighs are the worst for the skin pain.

The injection site is sore, but not nearly as bad as with the first shot - more like a pulled muscle than bruised.

I'm extremely glad I preemptively took today off, because there's no way I could be at work and functional.

I did not take any meds yesterday, opting for the Full Immune System Experience (and then forgetting, lol), but this afternoon may be a Nyquil dose and a nap.

STILL better than Covid, and zero regrets about getting my vax.

Thank you! They had mostly cleared up by yesterday evening! Still a little sore and fatigued today, but well enough to get to work and feel mostly normal.

Thank you! Fortunately, they really did only last about 24-36 hours. By yesterday evening I was starting to feel better, and the remaining side effects today were pretty minimal.

Damn. I was hoping you could've avoided the side effects, but! I'm still happy that you got the vaccine! It is better than getting Covid, and you'll do fine in a day or so. *hugshugs*

Yeah, I'm definitely glad I got it, too! The side effects were pretty miserable yesterday, but had mostly cleared up by evening, and were mild by today. *hugs*
