I finally got a new glasses prescription! It's been three or four years, and my vision had deteriorated pretty badly. It was partially the fault of my messed up eyeballs, lol, but a lot of it was just that the glasses I had were in terrible condition.

But now I can see! I'm all kinds of re-amazed by the fact that trees have leaves. They aren't just undifferentiated blurs. And color is vibrant again! (The coating on my previous glasses had discolored so badly it was like looking through permanently frosted glass.) I also really like the new glasses themselves. We're going out tonight, so maybe I'll try and get a picture once I look presentable.

And hopefully the new-glasses headache will pass. :P

I'm bummed Halloween is over. It's one of my favorite holidays, and it always seems to sneak up and whoosh on past without us getting to do much. We did go to a pretty bitchin' haunted house this year. (13th Floor.) And we went out to a few club-related things, as well. But still... it feels like it just suddenly was right on top of us, and now it's over. Alas.

Man, I don't know what more to say. I suck at journalling.

Ahaha I felt exactly the same way when I got my new glasses. The new-glasses headache things drives me nuts too :(

I'm so sad about Halloween being over. For some reason, Australia got really into it this year, they were selling giant pumpkins and things at the grocery store, it was crazy!

I know, right? Trees having leaves is the biggest shock for me each time... I forget that everything actually has fine detail, haha. The headache seems to mostly be gone, too, which is faster than I expected.

I'm glad Australia got into it! I've had a few Australian and UK friends mention that they wish Halloween was a bigger deal outside the USA. It seems like at least some places are getting more into it! I'm always sad when it's over, though, because it never feels like I get to do everything I wanted to.

I'm so glad you can see better now! I've gotten to this ripe old age without needing glasses, I'm just starting to need reading glasses now. I need to appreciate things that I take for granted.

My glasses are for distance vision... it's been bad since I was in grade school. I'm really glad to be able to see again, haha! I know most of my family has needed reading glasses as they get older... the same will probably happen to me, eventually.

Yay for new glasses, but damn the headache-y, drunken, new-prescription-acclimation-period-thing. XD (This reminds me that I'm in need of undergoing the same experience soon, but honestly, I feel as though I've had quite enough doctor's appointments and the like lately, already, haha. And I have a metric shit-ton still to come. Ghah... XD)

I definitely feel the same lamentations about the "surreal it was so fucking fast" passing of Halloween this year though... I swear I only JUST decorated the house for fall/autumn/Samhain/Halloween/the harvest, and already it's passed. I hate how November 1st marks the beginning of the retail Christmas season too now. I do plan on decorating for Yule/The Winter Solstice and the like, but Jesus Christ (literally!), it can wait until AFTER Thanksgiving already, honestly! -_-
