Got more to catch up on, but it's not happening until tomorrow.
Today Taylor's and my hangout concluded with:
- Playing more Hades (and I am impressed so far!)
- Finishing That Ain't Witchcraft (still have the novella at the end, but we finished the book!)
- Listening to more of The Magnus Archives
In mid-afternoon, Alex came to get me, and we headed home. I'd meant to do some more productive at-home things, and... did not.
Then we went to go see Roadrunner the documentary about Anthony Bourdain. His death hit Alex extremely hard, so he wanted to see it. I thought it was really good, and a pretty balanced look at what was really a very interesting life. I definitely teared up several times, and it's still a tough thing to wrestle with, that his story ended the way it did.
On a lighter note than that, I hit my 20k goal for Camp NaNo this month! I'm actually really close to the end of Step Right Up, and will probably finish it tomorrow. I'm going to try and still get the same 645+ words per day for the last few days of the month, but having hit the 20k goal, I may spend the last few days writing second drafts. We'll see.
I've had a headache all day that's just been getting steadily worse, so I'm not delighted about that. I'd like to say I'll go to bed early, but tbh I know how well that works out for me. :P
