Love that crunchy air...

So... that smoke is real bad.

We're number one! (for worst air quality in the entire world today)

This was taken from the field next to my office after work. Those mountains that are barely visible are EXTREMELY close - just on the other side of the highway. So that's...pretty bad.

My sinuses are killing me, and my eyes are bugging me, too.

The air quality is supposed to improve slightly tomorrow and then more substantially after that. I wonder if it'll be good enough by later on Monday/Tuesday to do anything? I'm running out of summer, so I don't want to have to spend even more of it not doing anything. :(

I was able to get a covid test appointment for Monday morning. It's really almost pointless to take the test nine days after my exposure (five days after I was notified), but it's truly the soonest I could get, which is pretty stupid.

Wow, that is some bad air quality!

We had a teensy bit of haze a couple of weeks ago from fires in Canada and CA (it showed the arc of smoke going up into Canada, across Canada, and coming down in the northeast). It was weird, and I can't even imagine how bad it is elsewhere.
