Today, Alex did about $20 worth of laundry. (The laundromat is cheaper than the apartment laundry, and usually takes far less time, since people are terrible about getting their stuff out of the machines here.)
I even did my part by folding all my shit and getting it put away as soon as I was home from work!
So now we've theoretically also dealt with the "trash" that they thought was a problem.
Couldn't get clarification on the notice today, because management left before noon today, and won't be back until Tuesday for the long weekend.
To be honest, it *is* nice to already have a bit more open space, but I'm STILL pretty resentful.

Next week we're house/dog sitting for my mom and Taylor. They're going back down to New Mexico to visit my aunt and grandma. My mom went to Oregon about a month ago to start dealing with my grandma's house and stuff, so I think she has some things from there to bring down. Plus just getting to see my grandmother again, and spend some time with her and my aunt.
I'm a little sad that I'm not able to go this time, but I know I was lucky to get to go down in March. (I didn't know that they were planning this trip, or I might have shifted my time off plans. But I also don't really regret taking the time I did.)
And my grandmother has certainly made it far longer than the "a few days at most" prognosis from her hospitalization at the beginning of March, so I'm still hopeful that I'll see her again, too.

Just realized that I forgot to ever post last week's habit tracker, and I don't want to be TWO weeks behind, so fuck it, it's another two-post day, apparently.

I hate folding laundry, too! I'm the queen of having to run the dryer for 10 minutes the next day to dewrinkle because I left it sitting overnight. *head desk*
I would also feel resentful.
I'm glad to hear that your grandmother is still going strong! She sure has fooled them, huh?!! *g*

Same! I've had to drape my stuff over surfaces in the bathroom and run the shower to steam wrinkles out because I put off folding my work clothes too long. (Though I mostly learned my lesson after that, and usually don't let it crease THAT badly, now!) Still, it's so easy to put off folding clothes and putting them away, haha.
My grandmother is doing well! It sounds like the dialysis is helping a lot, and my aunt hired another CNA friend of hers to come help my grandmother get up and move around more in the mornings, and my grandma is better at listening to her than to family, lol. But she definitely has "just move her to hospice; she has weeks if not days" beat!

Also, we were reminded that the manager who DID the inspection is on maternity leave now, so we have a temporary manager who doesn't even usually work on this property! So I'm very annoyed about the whole situation.
It may be one of those things that's better in the long run, I hope, and I genuinely do already appreciate the extra space that's been freed up. And finally getting that stupid comforter washed. But still... I'm annoyed and resentful that they lied/misunderstood what we had and then gave us no clarification or guidance on what to "fix".
