Fucking fuck.
I am so fucking sick of this damn apartment. Really the management.
Today we got a nasty note on the door, telling us that because we failed to return our recertification paperwork, that we are now in violation of our lease, and could be facing eviction. If we do not return the attached paperwork by tomorrow, then they may choose to begin eviction proceedings.
A) We were not given the recert paperwork in the first place. We were told we had to go fill it out in person in the office, by appointment only.
B) We made that appointment and filled out the paperwork, in person, in the office, on August 30.
C) There was also no "attached paperwork" this time.
Alex called, and the woman who answered said that, well, they don't actually KNOW who has filled out the certifications or not, because the manager is still out on maternity leave, and no one has checked what's on or in her desk.
Excuse the fuck?
You send out nasty notes telling people that they're going to be EVICTED, without actually verifying whether they've done the thing you're accusing them of not doing?
According to the person on the phone, they'll "take a look" at the manager's desk tomorrow morning and try to figure out if the paperwork is there. And she apologized for the "harsh tone", but "some people just don't take it seriously."
Which like... I'm sure it's a frustrating job. Dealing with people not returning necessary paperwork must be an annoying thing. But fuck you, that's your job, and fuck you for threatening people when you haven't even checked to see if they've already done what you asked them to or not.

It seems like it's a different temporary person every time we have to deal with anyone, which I'm sure also doesn't help.
But it seems even WORSE to send out that kind of letter on a property that isn't even the one you manage!
